Kevin Long Joins Insidedge

NEW YORK (March 10, 2011) --  Insidedge, the employee communications consultancy of Interpublic Group, today announced the appointment of Kevin Long, 45, as executive vice president leading the New York office.  Long will consult with a cross-section of clients on effective employee engagement and communications strategies.  For more than 20 years he has assisted organizations with improving performance and retaining talent by leading strategic initiatives that align employees with business strategy, mission, vision and values.

“Kevin’s HR background as well as his expertise in employee communications will make him a valued counselor to our clients,” said Insidedge President Keith Burton. “His management experience will be important to our practice as he leads our team in growing our business in New York.”

Prior to joining Insidedge, Long led global internal communications at Accenture where he developed an employee communications digital channel strategy to reach 200,000 employees in 120 countries.  He was also responsible for all HR and IT internal communications, co-authored the firm’s social media guidelines and supported efforts to improve employee engagement.

Previously, Long served in key leadership roles at Computer Associates (now CA Technologies) in R&D, learning and development, human resources and corporate communications.  He established a leading-edge employee communications function, launched the company’s core values, supported the rebranding of the company and introduced a new vision and mission to employees. 

He holds a Masters of Science in Human Resources Management and Labor Relations from the New York Institute of Technology and serves on the Board of the Developmental Disabilities Institute, as vice president of the DDI Foundation and on the Advisory Council for the Center for Human Resources Studies at the New York Institute of Technology.
